Tucson Fire Department Announces Graduates of Executive Level Program

The Tucson Fire Department (TFD) is celebrating the graduations of Assistant Chief Mike Carsten, Deputy Chief Paul Moore, and Deputy Chief Vera Wuerfel from the Arizona Fire Chiefs Association's (AFCA) inaugural Chief Executive Officer Program (CEOP).

This program was developed by the AFCA with input from city and town managers, department officials, and fire chiefs from across the country. The purpose of the program is to provide current and future senior-level chief officers with the knowledge and skills they need to be successful for their agencies and communities. This is a first-of-its-kind fire service-related executive training program in Arizona. Instructors and facilitators include fire chiefs from within Arizona, including TFD Chief Chuck Ryan, chiefs from other areas of the country, executive level consultants, and academic professionals. More information on the program can be found at the link below.
