City of Tucson issued the following announcement on Nov. 4.
After a shortened, online event last year, the annual All Souls Procession Weekend returns for its 32nd year , Nov. 5, through Sunday, Nov. 7.
Organized by Many Mouths One Stomach, the weekend of public events, openings, and opportunities is meant to deepen connections with the community and lost loved ones. The actual procession will begin Sunday at 6 p.m. on Grande Avenue, just south of Speedway Boulevard, ending at the MSA Annex, 267 S. Avenida Del Convento. Masks and COVID-19 vaccinations are encouraged. Meanwhile, participants can enjoy free public transportation options to and from the event. Sun Tran buses provided a direct route from the Ronstadt Transit Center to Grande Avenue and Speedway Boulevard, near the procession starting line.
This service was available from 3-7 p.m. After the procession, riders are encouraged to use the Sun Link streetcar to travel from the Mercado District to Ronstadt. Bus riders should note that Sun Tran bus services throughout the city generally end by 8 p.m. The streetcar been in service until 10:30 p.m.
