Arizona Online has been recognized as one of the top online education providers in the United States, according to the 2025 Best Online Bachelor's Programs rankings by U.S. News & World Report. The university, which is in its tenth year of operation and ninth year of eligibility for these rankings, secured a spot at No. 12 out of 350 programs. This marks its fifth consecutive year within the top 15.

Additionally, Arizona Online ranked No. 5 in the Best Online Bachelor's Programs for Veterans category. Gary Packard, interim senior vice provost for online initiatives, remarked that "Arizona Online's consistent rankings as a top online education provider reflect the University of Arizona’s commitment to delivering flexible, high-quality programs for students at every stage of their academic and professional journeys."

The institution achieved an overall score of 91 out of 100 and tied for No. 11 in peer assessment, a category evaluated by academic leaders from other institutions.

Arizona Online's computer information technology graduate programs ranked highly as well: No. 5 overall, No. 3 among public universities, and No. 3 for veterans. These courses are offered through the Eller College of Management, the College of Science, and the College of Engineering.

Caleb Simmons, executive director of Arizona Online, emphasized that "these rankings are a testament to the dedication of our faculty and staff," who strive to provide exceptional learning experiences tailored to a diverse student body.

Further accomplishments include Arizona Online's MBA program through the Eller College tying for No. 7 overall and ranking sixth among public universities and veterans' programs. Its master's in finance tied for No. 14 overall while its bachelor's program in business tied for No. 17 overall.

The bachelor's degree in psychology advanced five spots to tie at No. 6 overall, while the master's degree in engineering tied for No. 22 overall and No. 18 among veterans' programs.

Enrollment figures show over 9,700 students attended Arizona Online during fall 2024—an increase from previous years—with many being full-time working adults or active military personnel requiring flexible study options.

U.S. News & World Report bases its rankings on criteria such as student engagement; student services and technology; faculty credentials; training; and expert opinion.
