Tucson announces third round of community partner grant program

The City of Tucson is allocating the third round of funding to support local organizations and businesses. A minimum funding request of $10,000 is required for consideration.

The application submission window is currently open and will close on Monday, Sept. 30, at 11:59 p.m. Round 3 funding will be effective from Nov. 1, 2024, to June 30, 2026.

Mandatory Technical Assistance workshops will be scheduled once funding is awarded. Contractual preparation will begin by appointment after the awardee organization has submitted all required documentation. City of Tucson staff will reach out to schedule these appointments following the completion of the Technical Assistance Workshops.

A Technical Assistance/Educational Webinar is scheduled for applicant organizations that must submit proposals relevant to one of the Mayor and Council program areas listed below:

- Relief for Families, Essential and Frontline Workers, and Small Businesses

- Community Reinvestment and Recovery - Parks, Arts & Culture

- Workforce & Youth Development

- Promoting Affordable and Stable Housing

For proposed programs or projects relevant to multiple Mayor and Council Community Grant Programs, applicant organizations are encouraged to submit multiple applications for each additional program area.

The proposed program should include services that support one or more of the following goals:

Not-for-profit organizations and regular businesses are eligible for funding if they meet certain criteria. Additionally, a risk assessment will be conducted for each eligible application. This assessment may include prior experience in managing federal funds, previous audits, personnel policies and procedures, anti-discrimination policy, and financial or internal control policy.

Organizations receiving funding will be required to report financial and programmatic data monthly or quarterly and are subject to City of Tucson monitoring/audits.
