The Planning and Development Services Department (PDSD) invites the community to join a virtual or in-person meeting to learn about the development of new regulations for corridor redevelopment in Tucson and provide input.

On October 17, 2023, the City of Tucson Mayor and Council directed staff to amend City codes to develop corridor redevelopment tools that remove barriers to affordable housing and promote transit-oriented infill development that supports climate action goals. These tools are intended to update the City’s existing zoning to make permitting the full spectrum of housing types easier and simplify redevelopment of existing underutilized and vacant sites.

PDSD encourages the community to provide feedback on the proposed development of corridor redevelopment standards by joining one of two public meetings.

In-Person Meeting

Date: Tuesday, August 6, 2024

Time: 5:30 p.m. – 7 p.m.

Location: City of Tucson Sentinel Building, 320 N. Commerce Park Loop

Virtual Meeting

Date: Thursday, August 8, 2024

Time: 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Location: Virtual - Zoom

The feedback from these meetings will contribute to the formal corridor redevelopment proposal that will then be reviewed by Planning Commission and Mayor and Council.
