Six thousand nine hundred illegal aliens were apprehended in the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Tucson sector during the week ending June 14, 2024.
According to a June 14 post on X from Chief Patrol Agent John R. Modlin of the CBP Tucson sector, "The 6,900 apprehensions this week is up from the same week in the 2023-2024 fiscal year, when agents apprehended 4,900 individuals, but is down from last week, when CBP agents apprehended 7,500."
Modlin also reported that agents recovered 117 pounds of fentanyl and were involved in 10 narcotics events. They rescued 35 people and disrupted 17 human smuggling events. Additionally, they had some involvement in 183 federal criminal cases and made three significant arrests.
