The City of Tucson's Planning and Development Services has announced an update regarding its SolarApp services. Effective June 1, 2024, the service will transition from the Pima County SolarApp to the City of Tucson’s own SolarApp.

The department has coordinated with Pima County to ensure a smooth and seamless transition. Officials stated there should be no disruption in service during this period. The new City of Tucson SolarApp will mirror Pima County's version, maintaining the same interface and functionality. The primary change is that all activities will now be managed through the Tucson Development Center (TDC) Online account instead of the county permitting system.

In a statement, officials said: "We appreciate your patience and understanding as we make this transition on June 1, 2024. We look forward to continuing to serve your solar needs with the City of Tucson’s SolarApp."

For inquiries or issues, residents can contact city services by calling 311 or visiting Tucson 311 online to submit a request.
