The City Manager of Tucson, Arizona, has officially submitted the Recommended Fiscal Year 24/25 Budget to the Mayor and Council on Tuesday, April 9, 2024. This marks the beginning of the process that will determine the financial plan for the city from July 1, 2024, to June 30, 2025.

According to the announcement, the Mayor and Council will engage in a series of Study Session discussions on April 25, May 7, May 21, and June 4. Public hearings are scheduled to take place on May 7, May 21, and June 4. The final adoption of the Budget is set for June 4, 2024.

In addition to the in-person meetings, citizens are encouraged to access the finance and budget documents online. As stated, "Finance and budget documents can also be found at the links to the right of this page (desktop) or below (mobile)."

Following the budget adoption process, the City of Tucson will proceed with the approval of Fiscal Year 25 property tax levies on July 9, solidifying the financial framework for the upcoming year.
