Step 2:
On Monday, March 18, 2024, VSS International, under contract with the City of Tucson Department of Transportation and Mobility (DTM), will commence a roadway preservation project on Greasewood Road from Ironwood Hill Drive to Speedway Boulevard. This project is part of the Tucson Mayor and Council approved 5-Year Collector Street Program.
During this project, the northbound travel lane will be closed for one day, allowing only southbound travel from Ironwood Hill Drive to Speedway Boulevard. Access to residential and business driveways will be maintained, except when heavy equipment is directly in front of a driveway.
Electronic message boards will be placed in advance to warn motorists about the upcoming work on Greasewood Road.
The City of Tucson has allocated $15 million per year for 5 years, starting from June 2022, to enhance selected collector streets in the city. This initiative aims to improve the quality and safety of Tucson's streets.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation as we strive to enhance the city's infrastructure and ensure the smooth flow of traffic.
