U.S. Congressman Juan Ciscomani (AZ-06) has been awarded the prestigious title of Public Servant of the Year by the Tucson Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (THCC). The announcement was made during the 2023 Noche de Exitos & Bi-National Awards Gala held on Friday.
Congressman Ciscomani expressed his gratitude and sense of accomplishment upon receiving the award, stating, "It's an incredible honor to be named Public Servant of the Year by the THCC – and a truly full circle moment." Ciscomani's connection to the THCC runs deep, as he previously served as the organization's Vice President of Outreach from 2011 to 2015.
As the first immigrant from Mexico to serve in Congress from Arizona, Congressman Ciscomani sees his role as a representative of the community as a profound responsibility. He shared, "I am honored to represent our community and advocate for the people and the place I call home." Ciscomani also acknowledged the vital role played by the THCC and its members in driving the success of local businesses and communities. He said, "The individuals, organizations, and businesses that make up the THCC are the drivers of what truly matters in our communities: creating jobs, signing paychecks, building strong communities – the foundation for the American Dream."
