City Employees Rappel Building for Charity

Tucson Police Chief Chad Kasmar and Public Safety Communications Department (PSCD) Director Sharon McDonough rappelled down a 17-story building during this past weekend's "Over the Edge" fundraising event for the Girl Scouts of Southern Arizona (GSSOAZ).

Each participant had to fundraise $1,000 individually to rappel the 5151 building on East Broadway Boulevard, with all proceeds supporting GSSOAZ-led programs and opportunities for girls. The GSSOAZ is comprised of more than 8,000 Girl Scout members from Pima, Cochise, Santa Cruz, Pinal, Graham, Greenlee, and Yuma counties to build girls' courage, confidence, and character.
