Black History Month Profile: Quincie Douglas

City of Tucson issued the following announcement on Feb. 3.

The Quincie Douglas Center, 1575 E. 36th St., is named after community advocate Quincie Bell Sims Douglas, who was an advocate of the poor and elderly. She also spearheaded the Low Income Free Transportation Services program in 1965, now known as Sun Van. Look for more Black History Month local profiles in NewsNet throughout February.
