Tucson Police Department issued the following announcement on Jan. 20.
They say "thank you" and celebrate Sergeant Bill Briamonte's retirement after 35 years of service to the Tucson community.
Sgt. Briamonte started his journey with TPD in August of 1986, where he was assigned to patrol in Operations Divisions West and South. As a detective, he investigated aggravated assaults and was assigned to special investigations. He then promoted to sergeant and supervised personnel in Operations Division East, Domestic Violence Unit, Robbery Unit, Gang Investigations, and the Counter Narcotics Alliance.
We wish Sgt. Briamonte and his family all the best as he begins his new journey! Bill, thank you for your service - enjoy the road trip!
