City Hires Community Safety, Health & Wellness Program Director

City of Tucson issued the following announcement on Jan. 20.

Mayor Regina Romero and the City of Tucson announce the hiring of Sarah Launius to be the inaugural director of the Community Safety, Health & Wellness Program. 

She started work this week. Launius will work closely with the Tucson Police Department, Tucson Fire Department, 911 Communications, Housing and Community Development, Planning and Development Services, Code Enforcement, Courts, community organizations, and members of the community to execute the mayor's vision for community safety, health, and wellness. Launius, who most recently served as the chief of staff in Ward 3, has experience building coalitions and will continue the City's efforts to engage with the community through surveys, focus groups, and town halls.
