University of Arizona Athletics issued the following announcement on Dec. 1.
The Arizona men's basketball program has announced that Thursday's Pac-12 opener at home against Washington has been postponed due to recent COVID-19 impacts within the Washington program. The Pac-12 Conference will work with both programs to find a mutually agreeable date to reschedule the game.
Fans with tickets to the Arizona vs. Washington game originally scheduled for Thursday, December 2, 2021 will be able to use their original tickets at the rescheduled game.
Arizona's game this Sunday, Dec. 6 at Oregon State (2pm MT, ESPNU) is still on as scheduled.
The Wildcats are ranked 11th in the country with a perfect 6-0 record to start the year under first-year head coach Tommy Lloyd. In addition to leading the country in assists per game, Arizona is averaging 91.5 points per game as a team while holding opponents to just 57.7 points per game.
