The Trump re-election train recently made a stop in downtown Tucson, as daughter-in-law and senior adviser Lara Trump and campaign manager Brad Parscale headlined an event held at the Hotel Tucson City Center.
“He feels confident, he’s happy, he feels good, he knows this whole thing is going to be another thing – it’s going to be another time where the Democrats fail and the president prevails,” Parscale told the audience of Trump supporters on Nov. 21, according to KVOA.
On the policy front, Lara Trump told audience members many of the ideas being proposed by Democrats equate to socialism and are turning the country into Venezuela.
“We have a real race against us going into 2020,” she said, according to KVOA. “They know they have tried every trick in the book, so they may try cheating. Let’s not put it past anybody. We’ve got to be prepared for everything, and we’ve got to fight every single day until Election Day.”
Lara Trump later told the audience the president plans to visit the state himself sometime in the near future.
Led by a Democrat majority, the House of Representatives formally moved this month to impeach Trump on the articles of abuse of power and obstruction of Congress. Proceedings now move to the U.S. Senate where a trial is expected to commence sometime in January.
