WASHINGTON, Apr 20, 2024 - Congressman Juan Ciscomani of Arizona made a strong push for securing the southern border as the House passed critical foreign aid legislation over the weekend. Expressing his concerns, Ciscomani stated, “President Biden’s weakness has emboldened our enemies and made the world less safe, and our friends need our support.”

While the House considered multiple bills related to foreign aid, including support for allies in Israel, Ukraine, and Taiwan, Ciscomani also highlighted the importance of focusing on border security. Despite facing obstacles in advancing his bill to increase border resources, the Congressman emphasized his commitment to prioritizing such legislation during his time in Congress.

The Congressman's efforts to introduce the End the Border Catastrophe Act, H.R. 3602, were met with resistance from the majority of House Democrats. However, Ciscomani remains resolute in his dedication to addressing the urgency of securing the southern border.

Ciscomani's support contributed to the passage of several key bills, including the Israel Security Supplemental Appropriations Act, the Ukraine Security Supplemental Appropriations Act, the Indo-Pacific Security Supplemental Appropriations Act, and the 21st Century Peace Through Strength Act. These bills aim to provide essential aid, oversight, and support to nations in critical regions.

Under Ciscomani's guidance, the House allocated significant funds towards various initiatives, such as supporting defense capabilities in Israel, implementing oversight for Ukraine's fight against Russian aggression, and enhancing military operations in the Indo-Pacific region.

As the nation navigates complex foreign relations and security challenges, Congressman Juan Ciscomani continues to advocate for a comprehensive approach that addresses both international aid and domestic border security concerns.
