Vince Leach, Republican and Arizona State Senator for the 17th District since 2025, posted a series of tweets on January 1 and 2, 2026, that included New Year greetings and commentary on retirement and alleged fraud.

On January 1, Leach posted: “Happy New Year! https://t.co/rqml8EfRQn” at 16:25 UTC. Later that day at 23:36 UTC, he added another greeting: “Have a Great New Year!! https://t.co/clc5VTxNMS”.

On January 2 at 12:30 UTC, Leach tweeted: “I’m just glad I could help.” Ha,ha Local factory worker Hector Flintstock has been working hard, following the law, saving money, and paying taxes for 50 years, and is finally able to achieve his lifelong retirement dream of funding a fraudulent Somali daycare center.”

Leach was elected to the Arizona State Senate in 2025 after replacing Justine Wadsack as the representative for the state’s 17th Senate District.
