Vince Leach, a Republican elected to the Arizona State Senate in 2025 representing the 17th Senate District, recently posted a series of tweets criticizing actions by Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes and commenting on current events.

On January 28, 2026, Leach responded to an unspecified situation with the tweet: “Yup, pretty much~ https://t.co/G0WhykCee8”.

Later that day, he followed up with another comment: “Please say it ain’t so~ https://t.co/KZtVbgua56”.

On January 29, 2026, Leach addressed recent statements by Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes regarding cooperation with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), writing: “AZ AG Mayes is way out of line with her statement of not working with ICE while in AZ. And on the State AG site, she is calling out for citizens to report ICE activites to her. Calling out for violence against ICE does not lower the temperature of the situation, it only heightens”.

Leach began serving in the Arizona State Senate after his election in 2025, succeeding Justine Wadsack as representative for the state’s 17th Senate District.
