Christopher Knierim was born on November 5, 1987, in Tucson, Arizona. He became a successful pair skater with his wife, Alexa Scimeca Knierim. They won a bronze medal in the 2018 Olympic figure skating team event. They also earned silver and bronze medals at the Four Continents Championships in 2016 and 2014, respectively. Additionally, they won three Grand Prix medals and three U.S. National Championships in 2015, 2018, and 2020. After retiring, Christopher focused on coaching and mentoring young skaters. He maintained a strong connection to Tucson, supporting local skating programs and visiting often. Henry Edward Leiber died on November 8, 1993, in Tucson, Arizona. Born on January 17, 1911, in Tucson, he became a professional baseball player. Leiber played as an outfielder in Major League Baseball from 1933 to 1942. He started with the New York Giants and later joined the Chicago Cubs. Known for his strong batting, he made significant contributions to his teams. After retiring, Leiber returned to Tucson and stayed active in the local community. He supported baseball programs and mentored young players. His connection to Tucson remained strong throughout his life. His achievements in baseball and dedication to his hometown left a lasting impact.

Jared Lee Loughner was convicted for the January 8, 2011, Tucson shooting, where he killed six people, including Chief U.S. District Court Judge John Roll, Gabe Zimmerman, and a 9-year-old girl, Christina-Taylor Green, while severely injuring U.S. Representative Gabby Giffords and 10 others. Loughner, born September 10, 1988, committed this mass murder, pleading guilty to 19 charges of murder and attempted murder.
