Alex Bowman born April 25, 1993
Alexander Michael Warren Bowman was born on April 25, 1993, in Tucson, Arizona. He is known for his career as a professional stock car racing driver and team owner. Bowman started racing karts in his youth and quickly moved up to professional stock car racing. He debuted in the NASCAR Nationwide Series in 2013 and later secured a full-time seat with Hendrick Motorsports in the NASCAR Cup Series in 2018. Bowman achieved his first NASCAR Cup Series win in 2019 at Chicagoland Speedway. He also owns Alex Bowman Racing, where he supports and mentors young racers. Bowman’s connection to Tucson remains strong, and his success brings pride to his hometown.
Born April 25, 1940: Poet, historian, and University of Arizona professor
Peter T. Wild was born on April 25, 1940, in Northampton, Massachusetts, and grew up in Easthampton, Massachusetts, where he graduated from high school. He became a poet, historian, and professor of English. Peter moved to Tucson, Arizona, where he taught at the University of Arizona. He published numerous poetry collections and wrote about the history and culture of the American West. His work influenced many students and contributed to the academic community. Peter was an active participant in Tucson’s literary events and cultural activities. He died on February 23, 2009, leaving a lasting impact on the literary and academic communities in Tucson.
