The Planning Commission has rescheduled a public hearing originally set for March 19, 2025, due to a quorum issue. The meeting will now take place on April 9, 2025, at City Hall Mayor and Council Chambers. Community members who planned to speak at the last meeting are acknowledged by staff for their patience and understanding after the cancellation.

Plan Tucson 2025, which serves as the City of Tucson’s general plan, outlines strategic goals for growth, sustainability, and community development over the next ten years. Community input remains essential as the draft progresses through the stages of review and adoption.

The public hearing is scheduled for 6 p.m., accessible both in person and through Zoom, for those who prefer a virtual option.

Subsequent to the Planning Commission’s assessment, the Mayor and Council will engage in a study session later in April, followed by a public hearing in May. Upon approval, a public vote on Plan Tucson is expected in November 2025.

For those interested in learning more about the plan, a short explanatory video is available online. Furthermore, information about Plan Tucson and participation details can be found at plantucson.tucsonaz.gov.
