The Mayor and Council are set to hold a public hearing on the proposed Community Corridors Tool (CCT) and Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment code amendment. The hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, March 18, at 6 p.m. It will take place in the Mayor and Council Chambers of City Hall located at 255 W Alameda St. The session will also be available for virtual viewing on YouTube. Additional details, including information on submitting comments or speaking at the hearing, can be found on the City’s Meeting Schedules and Agendas website.
The Planning Commission conducted a public hearing on Wednesday, February 26, concerning the CCT and Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment Unified Development Code amendment. More than 25 community members participated in this session. The Planning Commission unanimously voted to recommend that the proposed code change be approved by the Mayor and Council.
A video is available exploring the vision of the CCT, highlighting how community input has influenced its development and its potential to transform underutilized spaces throughout Tucson.
The CCT is an extension of previous planning initiatives such as Plan Tucson, Tucson Climate Action and Adaptation Plan, and Move Tucson. This proposed tool aims to modify zoning regulations to prioritize housing, walkability, and transit access.
