From March 6 to March 8, 2025, U.S. Congressman Juan Ciscomani will lead a group of nine Republican first-term Members of Congress on a delegation visit to the southern border. The purpose of this visit is to engage with officials from the Department of Homeland Security and the Department of Defense, as well as local stakeholders.

The delegation aims to better understand the requirements of law enforcement and explore how Congress can support efforts to secure the southern border. During their visit, they will tour key sites including the Nogales Port of Entry and various facilities along the Arizona-Mexico Border.

"House Republicans were elected on the promise to secure the southern border, and that is exactly what we will continue to deliver on," said Rep. Ciscomani. "As Vice Chair of the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Homeland Security, I am immensely proud to lead a group of freshman colleagues to the Arizona-Mexico border, where we will hear from law enforcement on the frontlines, immigration officials, and the business community to get a full scope of the situation on the southwestern border."

The participating freshman Members of Congress are:

- Rep. Mike Kennedy (UT-03)

- Rep. Julie Fedorchak (ND-At Large)

- Rep. Jeff Hurd (CO-03)

- Rep. Tim Moore (NC-14)

- Rep. Derek Schmidt (KS-02)

- Rep. Dave Taylor (OH-02)
