Agents with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) at the Nogales Station arrested 10 migrants in the Tumacacori Mountains, according to a January 13 post on X by Chief Patrol Agent Sean McGoffin.
According to McGoffin's January 13 post, "1/7: Nogales Station’s Motorcycle Unit and the Mobile Response Team worked together to respond to a group of suspected migrants in the Tumacacori Mountains. Ten smuggled migrants were arrested with air support from CBPAMO."
The Nogales Border Patrol station was established on July 1, 1924, originally staffed with two patrol inspectors responsible for patrolling 27 miles of international border. Today, agents patrol 1,100 square miles, including 32 miles of the international border. The station covers several urban areas, including Nogales, Tubac, Patagonia, Amado, and Green Valley, among others.

The Tucson Sector covers much of Arizona, from the New Mexico border to Yuma County’s border, spanning approximately 262 miles. There are about 3,700 agents across the nine stations within the sector. Stations are located in Why, Casa Grande, Douglas, Bisbee, Nogales, Sonoita, Tucson, Three Points, and Wilcox.

Established in 1924, it operates in 328 ports of entry and protects 7,000 miles of land borders and 95,000 miles of maritime borders.
