The University of Arizona has been recognized for its efforts in promoting student voting engagement. The ALL IN Campus Democracy Challenge included the university among 471 colleges and universities on its 2024 list of Most Engaged Campuses for College Student Voting, released on November 19. This recognition highlights institutions that actively encourage nonpartisan democratic engagement to boost student voter participation.

To be named on this list, the University of Arizona fulfilled several criteria: it participated in the ALL IN Campus Democracy Challenge, shared campus voting data from the 2022 National Study of Learning, Voting and Engagement Reports with ALL IN, developed a 2024 nonpartisan democratic engagement action plan with ALL IN, and listed a signatory to ALL IN's Higher Education Presidents' Commitment to Full Student Voter Participation.

The Associated Students of the University of Arizona (ASUA) played a significant role during election season through its Bear Down & Vote campaign. This initiative aimed to raise awareness, provide education, and empower students to contribute positively to their community by hosting town halls, workshops, information sessions, and registration events.

"It was a total team effort," said Adriana Grijalva, president of ASUA. "It was so inspiring to see so many fellow students engage with the democratic process and make sure their voices were heard this election season."

The ALL IN Campus Democracy Challenge aims for a more engaged and inclusive democracy. It believes that including informed college student voters will lead to a stronger American democracy.

"The university is proud to support our students' civic engagement and democratic participation," stated Amanda Kraus, interim vice president of Student Affairs. "The Bear Down & Vote campaign exemplifies the leadership and commitment of our student body and is a testament to their exceptional efforts to make a positive impact."
