U.S. Congressman Juan Ciscomani, representing Arizona's 6th district on the U.S.-Mexico border, has been awarded the inaugural Border Guardian Award by the Border Security Alliance. The organization consists of leaders in Arizona advocating for secure borders and supporting law enforcement efforts against human trafficking and drug smuggling.

Ciscomani expressed his concerns about the current administration's policies, stating, "In the last three and a half years, the policy failures of the Biden-Harris administration have made communities in my district, and across the United States, less safe." He emphasized his commitment to securing the southern border and supporting law enforcement personnel. "I am honored to receive the Border Guardian Award and look forward to continuing working with the men and women of the Border Security Alliance," he added.

Jobe Dickinson, President of the Border Security Alliance, praised Ciscomani's leadership: "There are very few leaders in Washington D.C. who are taking this border crisis seriously. We are fortunate to have Congressman Juan Ciscomani representing the needs of Arizonans and border communities."

Ciscomani has been active in addressing border security issues through various legislative initiatives. He introduced several bills aimed at improving border security measures, such as restarting construction of the border wall and hiring new Border Patrol agents. His efforts also include ensuring promised overtime pay for Border Patrol agents and imposing stricter penalties on human smugglers.

Additionally, Ciscomani co-led bipartisan visits to give colleagues firsthand insights into border challenges. His legislative work extends to improving communication within Homeland Security and streamlining processes for minor repairs at land ports of entry.
