U.S. Congressman Juan Ciscomani (AZ-06) announced that his office has returned over $4.5 million to constituents of Arizona's 6th District through casework, including $1.5 million for veterans.

"This was money that was owed to constituents but was stuck in the bureaucracy of a federal agency," said Ciscomani. His team works to help constituents access funds, refunds, and benefits from federal agencies such as the Department of Veterans Affairs, the Internal Revenue Service, and Social Security.

“Navigating federal agencies can be complicated, confusing, time-consuming, and frustrating,” said Ciscomani. “Far too often, constituents have difficulty accessing the payments, benefits, and refunds they rightfully deserve. From my first day in office, my team and I have been committed to advocating on your behalf and helping our constituents navigate complicated bureaucratic red tape. I am so proud to announce that through these efforts we have returned over $4.5 million to the constituents of Arizona’s 6th district, including $1.5 million directly to our veterans. It is an honor and privilege to serve you.”

Robert Armstrong, a veteran from Arizona’s 6th district stated: “When I applied for veteran’s benefits, I ran into an issue about repayment for funds I received over 50 years ago related to my discharge. After finding my discharge papers, I called Mr. Ciscomani’s office to try and resolve this issue. His team worked tirelessly and thanks to their efforts I received my deposit from the VA on August 6th. I am very grateful for the interest and dedication shown by Mr. Ciscomani’s office; their support made all the difference.”

For assistance with a federal agency, constituents are encouraged to contact Congressman Ciscomani's Tucson or Sierra Vista district offices.

Returning taxpayer dollars back to Arizona’s 6th District has been a priority for Congressman Ciscomani who serves on the House Appropriations Committee as its only member from Arizona. He recently announced securing $34 million in federal funding for various projects including water infrastructure and public safety initiatives within his district.

In FY 2024 alone he secured $26 million for 13 projects across all five counties in his district; if FY25 funds are signed into law he will have secured $60 million during his freshman term in Congress.
