Four vacancies open on Tucson's Planning Commission

The Planning Commission of Tucson currently has four vacant positions. This advisory body is responsible for reviewing and making recommendations to the Mayor and Council on zoning code amendments, as well as the amendment or adoption of new land use plans, such as the General Plan or Neighborhood Plans.

Appointments to the Commission are made by the Mayor and Council. The requirements for membership include one appointee by the Mayor and two appointees by each Council Member. Of these two, one must reside in their respective Ward, while the other may be from anywhere in the City (At-Large).

Interested applicants are encouraged to submit their resume and a letter of intent to PDSD via email at planningcommission@tucsonaz.gov. Applications will be forwarded to the appropriate Ward offices for consideration.
