Illegal aliens arrested in the Tucson border sector | X
During fiscal year 2024 to date, there have been 342,002 illegal alien encounters in the Tucson Sector.
That’s according to an analysis of CBP Data conducted by Tucson Standard
178,718 of these encounters have been from citizens of Mexico, 68,707 from Guatemala, 2,594 from Honduras, 2,357 from El Salvador, and 89,626 from citizens from other countries.
The CBP’s 2024 fiscal year runs from October 1, 2023 to September 30, 2024.
John R. Modlin, U.S. Border Patrol’s chief patrol agent in the Tucson Sector, regularly posts on X reports of arrests of these illegal alien encounters.
“Jose Hernandez-Garcia was arrested by Tucson Sector agents after crossing the border illegally near Sells, AZ,” Modlin wrote on April 25. “The Mexican national is a felon. In 2022, he was convicted of rape in the third degree in Spokane, WA. He faces criminal charges.”
Modlin joined the US Border Patrol in 1995 and has since worked in a variety of positions in the San Diego Sector, Detroit Sector, Miami Sector, and several posts on either coast.
“Tucson Sector agents arrested Ernesto Flores-Mojica near Hereford, AZ,” Modlin posted on April 24. “The Mexican national has extensive criminal history, including convictions for facilitation of homicide and aggravated assault with a weapon.”
“He faces prosecution for illegal re-entry of an aggravated felon,” Modlin reported.
