The City of Tucson is calling on its residents to participate in shaping the future growth of the city through the Plan Tucson initiative. The plan, which aims to outline the city's development over the next 20 years, is seeking input from the community to reflect shared goals and aspirations.
"Tucson has a rich history, but we must evolve to meet the needs of our developing community," stated city officials. To achieve this, the city is encouraging residents to actively engage in the planning process to ensure that future growth aligns with the community's vision.
One of the key components of Plan Tucson is the Future Growth Scenario Map, which has been developed by the Plan Tucson team. This map, created using a combination of community input and extensive city data, serves as a blueprint for the city's growth strategy.
"Using the community's ideas and extensive city data, the Plan Tucson team has drafted the Future Growth Scenario Map," emphasized city representatives. The map is now available for public review, and residents are urged to explore the draft scenario and provide feedback.
Residents are invited to share their thoughts and suggestions on the Future Growth Scenario Map through a survey, open until June 2, 2024. The city encourages individuals to ask questions, report issues, and submit suggestions to help shape the future of Tucson.
To participate in the planning process or learn more about Plan Tucson, individuals can contact the city by calling 311 or visiting the Tucson 311 website. The City of Tucson's address is 255 W. Alameda St., Tucson, Arizona 85701.
The city's initiative aims to ensure that as Tucson continues to grow, it does so in a sustainable and community-driven manner. By engaging with residents and incorporating their feedback, Plan Tucson seeks to create a roadmap for the city's development that reflects the collective aspirations of its diverse population.
