Stakeholders are praising U.S. Congressman Juan Ciscomani for his work in securing $5.6 million for Pinal County in the FY24 appropriation packages. Ciscomani, a member of the House Appropriations Committee, emphasized the importance of returning tax dollars to the community, stating, “As your representative, it is my duty to return as many of your tax dollars back to you and your community as possible.”

The funding includes $1.8 million for the Central Arizona Irrigation and Drainage District’s Drought Resiliency Water Augmentation Program, benefiting communities in Eloy and Arizona City. Ron McEachern, General Manager of CAIDD in Eloy, expressed gratitude for the support, saying, “The new water supply that this project will deliver is critical as we mitigate impacts from the loss of Colorado River water.”

Additionally, the City of Casa Grande will receive $3.79 million for the Thorton Road Widening Project. Casa Grande Mayor Craig McFarland commended the initiative, stating, “This transformative initiative not only signifies a commitment to the well-being of our community but also supports and amplifies the operations of key businesses in the vicinity.”

Ciscomani secured a total of $26 million for 13 projects in every county of Arizona’s 6th Congressional District. He is the sole member of the Arizona delegation on the House Appropriations Committee, with stakeholders recognizing his dedication to fostering economic growth and improving local communities.
