U.S. Congressman Juan Ciscomani (AZ-06) has successfully supported the passage of the FY2024 appropriations package, ensuring $26 million in funding for his district. In addition, the bill includes $45 million for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) VET-TEC program, a cause that Ciscomani has been actively advocating for.

Ciscomani expressed his satisfaction with the outcome, stating, "From day one, I promised to use my position on the House Appropriations Committee to bring much-needed resources back to Arizona’s Sixth District while ensuring our taxpayer dollars were being spent responsibly." He emphasized that the appropriations package not only benefits various initiatives in Arizona but also focuses on reducing wasteful spending, supporting national defense, and rejecting divisive policies.

House Appropriations Committee Chairwoman Kay Granger commended Ciscomani for his dedication to his district, stating, "He serves an important role on the Appropriations Committee that allows him to prioritize his constituents and deliver meaningful solutions to Arizona."

Ciscomani's Advisory Council, including Dr. Eric Cornidez, Cochise County Sheriff Mark Dannels, and former Pima County Supervisor Sharon Bronson, collectively praised his efforts, highlighting the positive impact the secured funding will have on communities within Arizona's 6th Congressional District. They stated, "This funding will have a meaningful, lasting impact on communities from Casa Grande to Tucson to Sierra Vista for generations to come."

The congressman secured funding for various projects in different areas, including transportation, urban development, agriculture, rural development, environment, commerce, justice, science, and energy and water development. These projects aim to address key needs within the district and promote growth and sustainability.

In addition to securing funds for specific projects, Ciscomani also advocated for provisions such as directing the Department of Transportation to prioritize interstate projects in the intermountain west and securing funds for the Air National Guard's new runway at the Tucson International Airport.

Overall, Congressman Juan Ciscomani's efforts in securing significant funding for AZ-06 in the FY24 appropriations package demonstrate his commitment to serving his constituents and addressing critical needs within his district.
