After a series of public meetings and a public hearing, the City of Tucson's Mayor & Council voted to increase rates and fees for Tucson Water and the Environmental & General Services Department (EGSD) yesterday, January 11, 2023. Tucson Water will have two rate adjustments:
First, the CAP & Water Supply Surcharge will increase from $0.70 cents per 100 cubic feet of water (CCF) to $1.00 per CCF effective February 13, 2023.
Second, a multi-year gradual rate increase will take place beginning on July 1, 2023 (5.5%) and progress through Fiscal Year (FY) 2024- 5.5%, FY2025- 5.5%, FY2026-5.5%, and FY2027- 5.5%.
