Station 8 crews were recently handed the keys to a brand new Medic 8 (ambulance) and proudly pushed the apparatus into the bays for the first time!
This ceremony dates back to the days of horse-drawn equipment when firefighters had to push the apparatus into the bays.
Our trucks are just a bit faster than those being used more than a hundred years ago, but the tradition remains!
