Swift Water Rescue

The Tucson Fire Technical Rescue Team (TRT) out of Station 4 was busy during the strong storms that hit the Tucson Metro area Wednesday evening.

At 6:45 crews were dispatched to Blacklidge and Walnut, where an adult male was trapped in the wash underneath a bridge, standing in knee deep rushing water. Crews worked quickly to lower a ladder and rescue ring to the victim, who was able to safely climb the ladder to safety. No injuries to the victim or firefighters.
