Tucson Mayor Regina Romero, Ward 4 Council Member Nikki Lee, and Tucson Parks and Recreation took part in a dedication last month to celebrate the completion of a new splash pad at Purple Heart Park, 9800 E. Rita Road. This project, located next to the existing pool, marks the City’s sixth splash pad. It was made possible through Tucson Delivers 2018 voter-approved Proposition 407 bond funds and Impact Fees. Improvements include a new splash pad area, perimeter fencing, five shade umbrella structures, seating, an accessible entrance, and landscaping and irrigation improvements.
