This week, longtime basketball operations assistant for the UA basketball program Ryan Reynolds announced his departure from the program.

In a statement on Twitter, Reynolds said, "Today is my last day with @AZATHLETICS - I can’t say thank you enough to all the department employees over the years, the student-athletes, and all wildcat fans for being able to work at such a great place for the past 13 years. Tucson will always feel like a second home to me…"

In addition to his statement, he had praise for his successors Dave Heeke, Derek van Der Merwe, and others. He continued, "Arizona is in great hands moving forward under the guidance of Dave Heeke, Derek van der Merwe and the rest of the leadership in the department. I look forward to watching the continued success of Arizona Athletics for years to come! #BearDown"

Coach Jake Jackson had very kind words to say about Reynolds during his time at the university. He said in a tweet, "Appreciate ur unrivaled work ethic that elevated @ArizonaMBB to higher heights! U were the secret weapon behind the scenes pulling weight, tons of weight! Ur standard was much higher than everyone else. U made a huge difference at Arizona & I am thankful to have worked under u!"

Reynolds was also praised by Assistant Athletics Director for Kansas, Daniel Berk, who said, "Few understand the impact you’ve had on Arizona Basketball and Arizona Athletics in general. We should all strive to serve with your loyalty and work ethic. Congratulations on a great tenure. You left the place better than you found it."

It's unclear where Reynolds's career will take him next, as he has not yet announced his next destination.
