A boutique marijuana dispensary in Tucson is getting a high-end showroom remodel so customers can browse all the items in style.
Botanica, located at 6205 N. Travel Center Dr., is a locally owned and independent premium dispensary that features a small indoor grow operation in a separate warehouse in the rear. Their operations are growing with a new 3,000-square-foot lobby and showroom.
"A lot of people focus on discounts and making the experience cheap, cheap, cheap, and that’s fine," Bryan Hill, Botanica owner and operator, said, according to Tucson.com. "That’s a totally valid model. A lot of people do very well with that. We wanted to go the other way. Like, how elevated could you make the experience?"
The new additions to the dispensary took 10 months to complete. The store now features portable wooden islands that display cannabis-infused edibles and concentrates, and a wall-mounted display case featuring the many marijuana strains that are available, Tucson.com said. These new changes serve as a step outside of the norm to create a boutique-like setup to showcase Botanica's items.
"The worst thing that we could do is be normal," Hill said. "That would be worse than being bad. So, let’s try to make something, that whatever it is, won’t be generic, contemporary, boring."
