The owners of Tucson's Funny Foot Farm and Tucson Petting Zoo are facing quite a dilemma – pay nearly double their regular rent or relocate.

The new property owners will allow the farm to stay until its owners find a new location, but the rent has increased by $800 each month, according to KOLD News 13.

The farm's owners have thought about expanding and see this move as an opportunity.

"We’d like to be spending our money on our own instead of on rent if that is what we’re going to do," Funny Foot Farm owner Georgi Macneil said to KOLD. "It’s actually really exciting. Going to be a fun move."

They want the public to know that they won't be closing for good.

"Most of what we need is some space," Macneil said to KOLD. "It would be easier if we started with water and electric and septic, but mostly more space. If it’s the right space and we get a whole lot more land, we’ll work with it and do what we have to do to build it up to be the right space."

Macneil said to her customers, "You guys keep us going, and we’re really excited to bring you whatever we bring you next," according to KOLD.
