The City of Tucson's Office of Economic Initiatives (ConnectTucson) webinar series, "Connecting for Success," is held monthly, featuring a guest speaker, presentation, and Q&A. The next webinar will be Monday, Oct. 25, from 3-4 p.m. This month, hear from Project Equity, a nonprofit from Oakland, California, that specializes in converting existing businesses into worker cooperatives. Employee ownership is a key driver to address income and wealth inequality, foster thriving local business communities, and honor selling owners’ legacies. Learn how the process works and all the benefits of employee-owned businesses. Ward 1 Tucson City Council Member Lane Santa Cruz will provide a welcome message. The presentation will be recorded and posted on the ConnectTucson website the following day. Previous webinars are available to watch on demand.
