CTE/ECE program at Teenage Parent High School

Announcement

Tucson Unified School District issued the following announcement on Aug. 25.

The CTE/ECE program at Teenage Parent High School (TAP) has installed a beautiful indoor vegetable garden! A classroom grant from the Educational Enrichment Foundation was awarded to Mrs. A, who teaches ECE at TAP. The $1,000 grant paid for a farmstand from Lettuce Grow, vegetable and herb seedlings like mint, baby lettuce, Astro Arugula, Genovese Basil, Bok Choy, and Baby Lettuce Mix.

The idea to focus on parents modeling healthy lifestyles for their children was based on student interest in gardening. Many thanks to EEF for helping the school start this healthy endeavor! If you would like to donate seedling and peat pellets for their year-round garden, please contact Mrs. A at TAP
