Startup Tucson recently launched a pilot program to attract remote workers to Southern Arizona, according to a news release by the City of Tucson.
The Remote Tucson program offers remote workers a chance to trade big city life for Tucson’s affordable, creative and thriving community, which will contribute to Tucson’s economy and younger demographic for positive gains.
The program is offering workers benefits, perks and moving assistance. The pilot program is targeting workers from cities with direct flights or are within driving distance to Tucson and plans to start with 10 workers.
Startup Tucson was founded in 2012 to transform the region’s economy through entrepreneurship and innovation in an effort to make the region a place that is known nationwide as an ideal place to start and grow a business. It seeks to elevate entrepreneurs to create innovations that build a more equitable, vibrant and forward-looking economy for Tucson.
