Cost of college went up for all students at Southwest University of Visual Arts-Tucson

Tuition and fees rose 0.1 percent for 2018-19 at Southwest University of Visual Arts-Tucson, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Arizona students paid $23,069 to attend the four-year private for-profit institution this year – $25 more than the $23,044 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 80 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 12 students received grants or scholarships totaling $79,772 and 11 students took out student loans totaling more than $51,942.

Including all undergraduates (125), 91 students used grants or scholarships totaling $462,090, and 84 students took out $1 million in federal student loans.
