Arizona State Representative Rachel (Jones) Keshel, a Republican representing the state’s 17th House District since 2023, posted a series of statements on her social media account in late October and early November 2025.
On October 31, Jones wrote, “When God gives you the opportunity to lay down your sword and show humility I would think one would be wise to take the deal.”
Two days later, on November 1, she stated: “We will be getting to the bottom of this. https://t.co/db5C7ZSqfO” Later that same day, she commented directly about an education official: “The superintendent, John Carruth, is in complete and total damage control mode right now. I’m not buying his BS story one bit. Show me the picture from last year when the math department supposedly wore the same shirts, or do the right thing and fire every single one of these https://t.co/xKzElmgrTs”
Jones was elected to office in 2023 after replacing Jennifer Pawlik as representative for Arizona’s 17th House District.
