Arizona State Representative Rachel (Jones) Keshel, a Republican who has served the 17th House District since 2023, made several posts on her X account in early January 2026 addressing recent political developments and criticisms of law enforcement actions.

On January 4, 2026, Keshel commented on ongoing political discourse by stating: “This is a Democrat talking point. Told you.”

Later that day, she addressed reactions to an arrest operation, writing: “Anyone defending this dictator and his regime is absolutely ridiculous. Democrats calling this a kidnapping are selling you a load of horse . We had a perfectly legal arrest warrant to arrest this evil man and the operation to do so was amazingly flawless. Thank you to https://t.co/XThLwou1zZ”

On January 5, Keshel provided clarification regarding a previous reference: “He’s referring to North Carolina.”

Keshel began representing Arizona’s 17th House District after being elected in 2023, succeeding Jennifer Pawlik as state representative.
