Arizona State Representative Rachel (Jones) Keshel, a Republican elected in 2023 to represent the state’s 17th House District, has made several public statements on social media this week regarding education, legislative accountability, and abortion.
On April 29, 2026, Jones expressed gratitude for receiving an award from Matthew Nielsen and the Alliance for Education. She wrote: “I am absolutely honored to receive this award! Thank you to @matthewnielsen and @allianceforedu for putting your trust in me to ensure that every AZ child can receive the education that they need and deserve!!!”
The following day, on April 30, 2026, Jones commented on legislative transparency and lobbying influences. In her post she stated: “Legislative liberty scores at both the state and federal levels are good indicators of who is bought and paid for by the lobby class. Vote them out!!!”
Later that same day, Jones addressed abortion policy in a separate post. She said: “When you try to bring up the realities of taking a pre-born baby’s life to the pro-abortion class, the reaction is always the same. They quickly try to shut you down. Mutilating and dismembering a baby before removing it from the safety of the mother’s womb is NOT healthcare.”
Jones succeeded Jennifer Pawlik as representative for Arizona’s 17th House District after her election in 2023.
