There were 2,942 Asian students enrolled in Pima County schools in the 2024-25 school year, a 7% decrease from the 3,162 Asian students in the previous school year, according to the Arizona Department of Education.

Data showed that Pima County welcomed 141,176 students at the time. Among them, Asian students made up 2.1% of the student body making them the second least represented ethnicity in the county.

Among the 281 schools in Pima County, BASIS Oro Valley recorded the highest enrollment of Asian students in the 2024-25 school year, with a total of 198 students, making up 36.7% of the school’s total student body.

Arizona’s public schools ranked 49th in the country, according to a WalletHub study, with low marks for class size, performance, funding, safety, and teacher qualifications.
