Congressman Juan Ciscomani, who represents Arizona’s 6th district in the U.S. Congress, has recently highlighted his involvement in advancing optical science and technology, commemorated the anniversary of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, and expressed appreciation for his interns through a series of posts on social media.
On August 28, 2025, Ciscomani announced his participation in a congressional caucus focused on optics and photonics. He wrote, “After meeting with local stakeholders earlier this year in AZ06 and seeing their work to advance Arizona as a global hub for optics and photonics, I’ve joined the Congressional Optics and Photonics Caucus to advocate for Arizona’s role in optical science and technology “.
Later that day, he marked an important military anniversary by stating, “On this day in 1916, Congress established the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve to ensure our nation had a force ready to answer the call in times of war or emergency. Grateful to all our Marines, past and present, who have served with honor and courage “.
On August 29, 2025, Ciscomani acknowledged the contributions of his summer interns: “I am incredibly grateful for the energy and fresh perspective our interns bring to D.C. They’re future leaders in the making. Thank you to Georgia-Grace & Orlando for all your hard work this Summer!”
Juan Ciscomani began representing Arizona’s 6th district after replacing Ann Kirkpatrick in 2023. He secured his seat by defeating Kirsten Engel in both the 2022 (winning by a margin of less than two percent) and 2024 general elections.
