Congressman Juan Ciscomani, who represents Arizona’s 6th district in the U.S. Congress, shared updates on his recent legislative activities and community engagement through a series of posts on September 12, 2025.
On that day, Ciscomani announced the passage of funding bills by the House Appropriations Committee. In his post he stated, “This week @HouseAppropsGOP PASSED all 12 funding bills — these bills cut wasteful spending, secure the border, invest in our military, protect vital programs & keep communities safe. I urge my colleagues to swiftly pass the remaining bills on the House Floor! “ (September 12, 2025).
Earlier in the day, Ciscomani visited Donaldson Elementary to speak with students about government and civic engagement. He wrote, “In anticipation of Constitution Week later this month, I had the honor of joining nearly 50 bright 4th graders at Donaldson Elementary this morning to talk about our founding document, the role of government & how Congress works. Can’t wait to see what their future holds! “ (September 12, 2025).
Later that evening he addressed high school students as well: “Great speaking with Mountain View HS seniors and juniors in their government class today! Showing up means answering questions & engaging in dialogue. We discussed how government works, why I ran for Congress & key issues. Proud of these future leaders! @MaranaSchools” (September 12, 2025).
Ciscomani has served as Arizona’s representative since replacing Ann Kirkpatrick in 2023. He secured his seat after winning consecutive elections against Kirsten Engel in both 2022 and 2024.
In those contests he won by narrow margins—receiving just over half of the votes each time.
